Ricardo Mojardin was born in 1956, in Asturias. In 1984, he participated in the Contemporary Art Workshop with José Guerrero in contact with the Circle of Fine Arts, in Madrid. He graduated in 1985 in Advertising Design from the Oviedo School of Art. Between 1987 and 2016. In 1990, he taught as Professor of Engraving at the Oviedo School of Art. He was also a teacher on the “Relief Engraving” from the Ministry of Culture of the Principality of Asturias and also on the "Artist's Books" course at the Popular University of Gijón.
In 2000 he was the guest artist at the «Frans Masereel Centrum» in Kasterlee (Belgium). In 2009 he was also the guest artist of “5º International Engraving Workshop” at the Center for Graphic Art and Visual Research (Belgrade).
Painter, engraver and author of installations, artist's books and works in public spaces. Now He has held more than forty solo exhibitions in Spain, France, Ecuador, Serbia and Germany and has participated in art fairs and group exhibitions in Europe, South America, the United States, Canada ; and Japan.
Throughout his career he was awarded important painting and engraving prizes, among others the Painting Prize from the General Council of the Principality of Asturias and the National Engraving Prize from the Spanish Engraving Museum Contemporary.
His works are represented in several museums and public and private institutions in Europe, America and Japan.
