Carlos Rocha Pinto was born in Lisbon, in 1951. He studied in Lisbon, at IADE and ESBAL; and in London at Saint Martin´s School of Art. He also received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1981, 1982, 1986 and 1987.
He has exhibited individually since 1981, having debuted at the Cagnes-Sur-Mer International Painting Festival (which was awarded an Honorary Mention), in Portugal. Having already shared his work in renowned galleries such as the case of Galeria Quadrum, in Lisbon, Galeria de Arte da Casa de Bocage, in Setubal, Galeria Diferença, in Lisbon, Galeria Diagonal, in Paris, Espaço Lusitano, in Porto , Galeria Altamira, in Lisbon, Galeria K, in Washington – USA, Galeria ZEN, in Porto, Jadite Galeries, in New York, Galeria Triângulo 48, in Lisbon, Galeria Quatro, in Leiria, Cooperativa Àrvore, in Porto and Empire Assurence, in Paris.
