Born in Porto in 1959. From 1977 to 1983 he attended the Fine Arts (Painting) course at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto. From 2000 onwards he became Associate Professor of Drawing at FBAUP and Coordinator of the Drawing Group. He has exhibited individually in various locations in Portugal and since 1978 he has exhibited collectively in public and private spaces. He received a prize in 1983 at the III Augusto Gomes Exhibition in Matosinhos, and in 1980, at the Exhibition commemorating the Bicentenary of E.S.B.A.P..
