Born in Monção, in 1954. He graduated from the Superior Drawing Course and the Master's Degree in Visual and Intermediate Arts from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, ESAP, where he later became teacher. He was an assistant to Prof. Sá Nogueira at Escola Superior – Gallaecia, Vila Nova de Cerveira.

Between 1994 and 1998 he taught at CLIP – Porto International School and official education in Viana do Castelo. He completed a Drawing internship at the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts of New York. He taught Visual Arts in the Arts and Multimedia course at ISMAI.

Exhibited, individually and collectively, since 1985, in Portugal, Spain and France, Monaco and Germany. Your work is ready. present in several private collections. Of his solo exhibitions, we highlight in 1994, at Galeria Vandelli, Coimbra; in 1995 Galeria Cooperativa Árvore, Porto and also A Filantrópica, Cooperativa de Cultura, Póvoa de Varzim, in the same year; in 2000 he exhibited at Galeria Triângulo 48, Lisbon and also at Galeria Arte e Manifesto, Porto; in 2002 Ribeira, Ateneu Comercial do Porto, Porto; 2003 Solar Metamorphoses I,  ;Galeria Municipal de Arte, Barcelos; 2004 Metamorfoses Solares II, Galeria OM, Penafiel; 2005 < em>Passagens, Galeria Alvarez, Porto.
