Born in 1948 in Lisbon. He studied painting at the former Escola António Arroio, moving to the preparatory section for admission to Fine Arts. Specialized in Interior Architecture, Graphic Arts, Ceramics, Illustration and Manual Engraving Techniques. He collaborated extensively as an illustrator in several newspapers and magazines. He illustrated book pages and composed book covers. He held individual and group exhibitions. Lud passed away in 2001.
