Born in 1952, in Vila Nova de Gaia, self-taught painter, Licínio Saraiva is a self-taught painter. He is one of the most prominent names in the new generation of painters, which has earned him invitations to exhibit in several national galleries, as well as to participate in collectives, both in Portugal and abroad, as has now happened in Italy . He currently resides in the Greater Lisbon area.

Recently, his artistic path and plasticity are linked to bucolic themes, highlighting the “series” dedicated to horses, landscape of Alentejo, movements, among others, that range from figurative to abstract, but all of them with great chromatic effect.
