Born in Cali, Colombia, on June 25, 1960. Between 1980 and 1984 he attended the Higher Course in Plastic Arts at the "Angel Maria Valencia" School, Cali.

In 1983 he took the Screen Printing and Photo-Serigraphy Courses at the Museum of Modern Art "La Tertulia", in Cali, and in 1984 the Metal Engraving Course, with Master Helio Salcedo. Completed the Contemporary Aesthetics Course at the National Society of Fine Arts, Lisbon, 1989. And in 1991 the 20th Century Portuguese Art Course, at Ar.Co, Lisbon.

For three years, he was a screen printer at the "Corporación Proografia" studio in Cali and professor of plastic arts at the Free University of Cali (1986) and at the Idea College (1987). He has lived in Portugal since January 1988 and has held several exhibitions nationally and internationally.
