João Ribeiro was born in Lisbon in 1955. He has a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and a Master's degree in Visual Arts from Universidade Lusófona. He has exhibited individually since 1985, being represented in the following collections: Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Banco Comercial Portuguâs, C.TT., Museu de Arte e Pintura Diogo Gonçalves in Portimão , Vila Franca de Xira City Museum, Seixal Municipal Council, Reguengos de Monsaraz Municipal Council, Vila Nova de Famalicão Municipal Council, Portalegre Municipal Council, Ministry of Justice ;a, Court of Appeal of Seia, Consulate General of Portugal in Canada; and in other national and foreign collections.
