Born in Almeida in 1953. In 1970 he presented 3 works at the III Amadora Plastic Arts Exhibition where he exhibited with painters such as Artur Bual, Sereno, Moita de Macedo, Bacelar, Lud, Barceló , between others. Here, at the age of 17, he met Artur Bual with whom he established a friendship that gave him access to very valuable knowledge codes. In 1971, he exhibited at the National Gallery of Modern Art and in 1973 he exhibited again at the National Gallery of Modern Art. In 1989 he appeared at the Juventude em Festival Exhibition - Amadora 89 - at the then Cine Plaza. In 1990, he competed in the IV Salão da Primavera at the Casino do Estoril. Also that year he competed for the Carlos Botelho Prize at the Coruchéus Palace. In 1998 he obtained an Honorable Mention in the exhibition “Pintores da Venteira”. He has held numerous exhibitions in galleries and public institutions.
