Fernando Gaspar was born in Portugal, on March 10, 1966. A self-taught artist, Gaspar began his career practicing drawing and watercolor. Totally dedicated to activity since 1986, the year in which he participated in exhibitions for the first time.

Exhibits regularly in the main cities of Portugal, exploring and adopting new media, materials and techniques. His first solo exhibition outside Portugal took place in 1995, in Belgium. Winner of some national awards, he participated in more than 40 group exhibitions in Europe, Asia and South America, and held more than 45 solo exhibitions in Portugal and in several other European countries. Over the past 27 years, the focus of his work has evolved into an increasingly reflective and contemporary approach.
