Born in Reguengos de Monsaraz.  He has lived in Lisbon since he was 14, where he was a disciple of Master Lázaro Lousano. Since 1955 he has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions. Your work is ready. represented at the Ílhavo Museum, Ílhavo; Diogo Gonçalves Museum, Portimão; Municipal Chamber of Santiago do Cacém and in several private collections in the country and abroad.

In 1988 he was honored by the C. M. de Reguengos de Monsaraz.
