Born in the city of Porto in 1965, Cristina Valadas completed a degree in Painting at ESBAP in 1992 and two years later a post-graduate course in Textile Design.

Her work develops between painting and illustration. The interference between these two activities is visible in her works, with a clear predominance of simplicity and graphic design, giving great importance to the line, which isolates against backgrounds of homogeneous and flat color.
