Born in 1973, Carla Pott holds a degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and trained in Illustration at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and Engraving at the School of Fine Arts in Prague.

She also worked in the field of ceramics as a guest artist at the Staatliche Manufaktur Majolika-Karlsruhe, Germany.

She received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation between 1989 and 1996 and from the Instituto Camões / Embassy of the Czech Republic in the academic year 1996/1997.

She is a professional illustrator for various newspapers, magazines and other projects related to animation and painting.

She has held several solo and group exhibitions in Portugal.
