André Letria

Born in Lisbon in 1973, André Letria attended the Painting course at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon.

Since 1992 he has worked as an illustrator, an area in which he has been distinguished on various occasions: honourable mentions in 1999 for "Os anéis do Diabo" in the 3rd Edition of the National Prize for Illustration, in 2003 for the publication "Versos para os pais lerem aos filhos em noites de luar" and in 2005 for "Letras e Letras".

In 2000 he won the 1st prize for the publication "Versos de fazer Ó-Ó", within the 4th National Prize of Illustration and in 2004 the Gulbenkian Prize with the book "Se eu fosse muito magrinho".

In 2001 he received the Award of Excellence for Illustration from the Society for News Design (USA).

 In 2010 he created his publisher "Pato Lógico", invited to be present at the Bologna Biennale/Portugal 2012, in which the author was invited as a jury.

He is published in countries such as England, Spain, the USA and Italy.
