Born in Lourenço Marques in 1974., Ana Cesária has a degree in Plastic Arts, a course of Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and teaches at the secondary school level.

In 1997 she received an Honourable Mention at the X Salão de Primavera, Galeria de Arte do Casino do Estoril; in 1998 the 1st. Prize in the João Barata Painting Prize 1998, Lisbon and the Honourable Mention in the XI Spring Salon, Art Gallery of the Casino do Estoril. In 1999 the 2nd. Prize at the III National Painting Prize - Young Artists, Portuguese Rotary Foundation, Figueira da Foz and the Honourable Mention at the X Spring Salon, Art Gallery of the Casino do Estoril. She has held several solo and group exhibitions.

She is represented at the PMLJ Foundation.
