Born in Italy in 1971. Alex Gozblau worked for publishers such as Caminho, Polvo and Assírio & Alvim illustrating covers and books. He has published in Expresso, Público, Diário de Notícias, among other newspapers.

He taught a module on Multimedia Illustration in the post-graduation course in Illustration at ISEC and on Press Editorial Illustration at Ar.Co. He has signed comic strips, individually and in partnership with João Fazenda, Miguel Rocha and João Paulo Cotrim. He was responsible for the graphic design and art direction of the Portuguese magazine 365.

He was distinguished by the Clube de Criativos de Portugal, the Society for News Design and the Society of News Design Ibérica. In 2009 he received the Stuart Award for the best Press Illustration.
