Born in England in 1978, Adam James is a young artist with an undergraduate degree in engraving from the University of Brighton (2003) and an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from the Royal College of Art, London (2007). More recently he completed his PhD in Fine Art from the University of Kent (2021).

Adam James uses different media in his works such as video, performance and sculpture. The main theme explored by James is the underworld that lives in every city, choosing as his characters those marginalized by society.

Since 2007 that he has been exhibiting regularly and his curriculum includes solo and group exhibitions in various countries including: the UK, the Netherlands, Thailand, Portugal, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, Iceland and the USA. From 2006 to the present day he has won several awards and artistic residencies.
